Lolvé Tillmanns

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1982, Lolvé Tillmanns grew up in the Vaud countryside. As a specialist in the energy sector, she worked in this field for five years.  She resigned from her job to devote herself entirely to literature in 2011.

Her work explores the use of fiction to transform events from ‘Big History’ into a story that affected real individuals. She has been publishing, mainly novels, since 2014. She has been awarded three writing grants: in 2013 to spend three months writing in Genoa; in 2017 for a six-month residency in Buenos Aires; and in 2023 as part of the Ouidah Biennale in Benin. She runs writing workshops for all audiences and coaches both amateur and professional authors. Her next publication is due out in autumn 2026 from Éditions Casbah (Algeria); it will be the Algerian edition of her latest book, *Colon ne s’écrit pas au féminin*.
