Ivonne Gonzalez

BIOGRAPHY

Lawyer, musician, artist, and anti-racism activist. She has given lectures on the topic of racism for various organizations across Europe. As director of the Black Guiris art collective, which creates participatory art performances addressing the invisibility of Black people and racism, she has been leading the multilingual project “Noircir Wikipédia” since 2018 to highlight the contributions of African and Afro-descendant cultures to universal culture within the online encyclopedia. Ivonne González collaborates with the City of Geneva’s Department of Public Education by leading workshops to combat harassment linked to racism and other forms of discrimination.
