BIOGRAPHY

François Burland is a Franco-Swiss artist based in Mont-Pèlerin (VD, CH). For over 25 years, his work has encompassed a wide range of artistic expressions: archetypal figures drawn in ballpoint pen, depicting Neolithic horsemen riding indomitable monster-beasts, gardens of the dawn of the world set against a soot-coloured background, photographic nocturnes, a series of personalised poyas on kraft paper or embroidered by Tuareg women, and toys made from recycled materials. François Burland’s work is part of the international art scene.
